Punctuating Speech Rubric

This Rubric is for using with punctuating speech. It will give children a clear understanding of what standards are expected when they are writing a story with direct speech. It considers the opening, layout, the use of speech and correct punctuation and handwriting. Use the rubric, a great tool and learning resource, for scoring and giving levels of performance for specific criteria and use it with KS2 chidlren to set targets! After the Rubric is completed each child will know what they have achieved and will be able to set their own targets for punctuation when they next write!
