A great resource to use with children to explain how weddings usually involve a legal contract, in which two people promise to live together for the rest of their lives, that weddings can be religious rituals and they are also family and community festivals, which bring people together to celebrate. The PowerPoint explains what makes Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim and Sikh wedding ceremonies special and asks children to think of what is the same and what is different about the weddings in these different cultures and religions.
